About this project
The “Caumba Grid Connected Solar PV Project'' (Hereinafter project activity) is a solar PV plant with an installed capacity of installed peak power of 18.785 MWDC & 15 MWAC developed by Central Eléctrica de Tetereane, S.A . The project activity involves the generation of electricity from renewable solar power in the Cuamba District of Niassa Province. The process of generating power through solar resources is a clean technology, as there is no fossil fuel-fired or no greenhouse gases emitted during the process. This helps in a significant reduction of GHG emissions as the Grid is mostly dependent on fossil fuel-generated electricity.
