About this project

This VPA has been strategically designed to introduce metered cooking devices, specifically Induction Cookstoves (ICs), with the primary goal of displacing or reducing the consumption of charcoal and other conventional fuels in urban and peri-urban households located within the Republic of Uganda. These innovative ICs will harness cooking energy directly from the national electrical grid. This VPA, with its focus on deploying Induction Cookstoves powered by clean electricity, represents a forward-thinking and environmentally conscious approach to addressing the persistent reliance on polluting fuels for cooking in the Republic of Uganda. By leveraging the advantages of electricity from renewable sources and metered cooking technology, this initiative aims to significantly reduce the environmental impact associated with traditional cooking methods while simultaneously improving the quality of life for countless households.
