About this project

The “Resilient Futures” Programme of Activities (PoA) is a community-driven initiative designed to address the interlinked challenges of poverty, environmental degradation, and climate change across vulnerable rural regions. By deploying scalable, high-impact interventions—such as improved cookstoves, safe water technologies, biochar production, and regenerative agroforestry—this PoA aims to reduce and remove greenhouse gas emissions while strengthening the adaptive capacity of local communities. Led by trusted local partners and supported by ethical climate finance, the PoA empowers women, improves health outcomes, restores ecosystems, and increases household income and food security. This programme contributes to multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). The PoA is designed to enable the rapid scaling of ethical, verifiable carbon projects in West Africa and beyond—delivering measurable climate impact and real, lasting change for people and planet.
