Licences: what you may do with each source
Global Mangrove Watch is CC BY 4.0; WWF Kenya layers have no stated licence, so confirm before redistributing.
| Source | Licence | What you may do |
|---|---|---|
| Global Mangrove Watch v3.0 and v4.1 | CC BY 4.0 | Reuse, adapt and redistribute, including commercially, with attribution |
| Natural Earth boundaries | Public domain | Anything |
| WWF Kenya, KMFRI, KFS and other layers from WWF Kenya Sources | To be confirmed | Use for research and internal work; ask the publisher before redistributing |
| UNEP-WCMC seagrass / salt marsh (planned) | Specific terms | To be confirmed at ingest (non-commercial limits may apply) |
Attribution means naming the authors, the dataset, the version, the licence and a link. Dataset pages generate this text.
Atlas' own outputs (totals, rankings, charts) are derived from those sources, so the same credits apply.
When unsure, treat data with an unstated licence as "all rights reserved" and write to the publisher.
