DATA GUIDE
Getting started: your first ten minutes
A short tour: dashboard, map, change page, then ask the analyst a question.
- Look at the Intelligence Centre (home). The green banner tells you which country you are in; the tiles show headline numbers.
- Open the map (button on the dashboard). Tick a few layers on the left and click a polygon: the pop-up gives area and a link to its source.
- Switch country with the globe button at the top right. Countries with mangrove data open a full workspace.
- Open Mangrove Change (Explore menu) to see how mangrove changed since 1996 for any country and for Africa.
- Ask the analyst. Click the green Ask Atlas button (bottom right) and try "How much mangrove does Nigeria have?".
- Create an account when the guest preview ends (3 minutes) to keep going; it takes about two minutes.
Tip. The left menu has a section for each job: Explore, Data, Intelligence, Knowledge and Reports. On a phone, open it with the ☰ button and close it with CLOSE.
