What Atlas records about visitors
Sessions, pages, time and questions are recorded; full IP addresses are not.
Atlas keeps a record of use so it can improve and report on its reach.
Recorded for every visit: the pages viewed and how long you were active; approximate location (city level, from the IP address); device, browser and operating system; where you came from; and, if you sign in, which account.
Not recorded: your full IP address (only a /24 prefix for IPv4 or /48 for IPv6), the contents of forms other than registration, or passwords (stored only as hashes).
Questions to the AI analyst are logged with the intent so answers can be improved.
Registration data (organisation, sector, country, age range and so on) is visible to the super admin only.
Cookies used: a visitor id, a session id, the preview timer and the login session.
Records are kept permanently unless you ask for yours to be removed by writing to the Atlas team.
